A lot of thought and planning went into choosing the right location for Anurak Lodge. Situated on the edge of Khao Sok National Park in Thailand’s southern Surat Thani Province, we opened our doors in early 2016, but the concept for our Anurak Lodge eco-retreat began to take shape at least two years before the foundations for our first Khao Sok bungalow were even laid.
It was our motivation to fill a niche in the market that spurred us on to build Anurak Lodge and meet a growing demand for outdoor eco-friendly adventures, aimed at those with a love and appreciation of nature. Khao Sok National Park was of course a natural choice to build an Anurak eco-lodge. Its pristine biodiversity and natural beauty make it a popular place for both Thai holiday makers and foreign visitors alike, looking for a truly peaceful retreat. However, we wanted to find a location that would not be too close to the already built up entrance of Khao Sok National Park – one that would be set apart from other hotels and resorts – away from traffic, ATM’s, 7-Elevens, and the hubbub of night entertainment.

Escape to the jungle with your own secluded hideaway in the world’s oldest rainforest, Khao Sok National Park. Set in six hectares of lush tropical gardens right on the boundary of Khao Sok, Anurak Community Lodge offers 19 eco-friendly rooms across 12 beautifully appointed bungalows and one safari-style tent.
Tucked beneath a canopy of palm trees, all of our accommodations feature en suite bathrooms with rain showers and hot water, plus natural soap and shampoo in refillable containers, and are fitted with both air-conditioning and high-ceiling fans, as well as mosquito netting canopies above each bed. Large wrap-around balconies with chairs and a table provide you with your own private spot to take in the panoramic views of the surrounding jungle scenery.
Following eco-friendly practices to ensure we protect the surrounding rainforest and limit carbon emissions, you can be sure your stay at Anurak Community Lodge will be environmentally-friendly.
Deluxe Green Bungalow
Overlooking our evergreen jungle gardens and the surrounding limestone karsts, our private Deluxe Green Bungalow features a comfortable king-sized bed with soft linen sheets and duvet. Ideally suited for couples looking for a peaceful jungle retreat, this 25-square meter bungalow provides you with ample space to add extra mattresses for children too.
